Basic Scenario
When the Vindicia Retain Transaction is processed, Retain sends theselectTransactionId to the payment processor in the Order Id/Number field. You can use this data to search for recovered transactions in the payment processor portal to reconcile transactions.
Note:
You can request a configuration change for this behavior so that merchantTransactionId (the unique identifier for the Failed transaction when processing was requested) appears in the Merchant Reference Number field instead of the selectTransactionId. Contact Vindicia to request this configuration change. In this case, you can use the merchantTransactionId to search by Merchant Reference Number rather than selectTransactionId.
Design Approach
The data resulting from Vindicia Retain processing data identifies whether Vindicia Retain has recovered a failed transaction. You can use this data in the payment processor portal to locate and reconcile transactions processed by Vindicia Retain. For recovered transactions, your finance department identifies the transactions which were settled in the payment processor portal for reconciliation of the revenue received. Your business user uses the data to search for recovered transactions in the payment processor portal, to reconcile revenues.
