- Transactions: Transactions are the failed payments submitted from your billing system to Vindicia Retain for recovery. These are recurring payments of credit cards, debit cards or prepaid cards that failed, without your customer involvement and pose a risk to the viability of the subscription if not handled. The submitted Transactions initiate additional (retry) attempts to recover the failed payments, which appear as associated Transactions in Retain. Any payments captured byRetain appear to your customers as a subscription payment originated by your business since Retain utilizes your Merchant ID, and captures the transactions on your behalf.
- Refunds: Refunds provide a way to reverse a captured amount or charge. Retain allows to refund money to the customer for the full captured amount or for a partial amount.
- Chargebacks: A chargeback is a reversal of a credit card transaction, typically initiated when a customer disputes the legitimacy of a transaction with the credit card issuer. When a chargeback occurs, the amount of the disputed transaction is charged back.
