The Retain PaymentMethod object represents an “on-file” payment instrument such as a credit card. Payment Methods are the means by which a customer pays for purchases or in other words the financial account which is debited for charges due from the customer. The PaymentMethod object provides information about the payment method to use for processing failed transactions submitted to Vindicia Retain for recovery. This information is passed to Retain via the [billTransactions](billTransactions) or [addPaymentMethods](addPaymentMethods) methods.
