# Introduction to Vindicia IDP User Management Console

**Vindicia IDP** is Vindicia's advanced Identity Provider experience for user authentication and login to Vindicia's Merchant Portals. Vindicia IDP is available for Subscribe and Retain merchants at no additional cost starting from April 1, 2023.

Vindicia's IDP supports all PCI- and ISO- required security measures such as complex passwords, Multi-Factor Authentication, and the use of unique passwords. It provides an additional security layer for Vindicia portals, helping to protect against unauthorized access.

Vindicia IDP User Management console is a streamlined application that Vindicia provides to your organization during your merchant setup for user and identity management of your organizational users. Your administrators or Super Users can leverage this application to monitor and assist other organizational users as needed.

Vindicia Offers 2 versions of the Vindicia IDP console:

* [**Vindicia IDP Console 1.0**](userManagement1Capabilites) - Offers administrators the ability to manage basic user identity settings for organizational users such as reset password, or reset multi-factor authentication methods.
* [**Vindicia IDP Console 2.0**](userManagement2Capabilites) - Offers administrators the ability to manage extended user settings such as adding new users, setting roles for users, resetting passwords and more.

**Important:** Using Vindicia IDP 1.0 Console does NOT enable you to add new users, or to delete or deactivate existing users.

To add or delete users, you need to submit a request to Vindicia Client Technical Support.

This guide describes how to use the Vindicia IDP console for identity and user management.
