# Retain Use Cases

  You can submit failed Transactions to Vindicia Retain so that the revenue can be recovered and the subscription preserved, extending the subscription lifetime. To support this functionality, you must use the Retain APIs.

* **[Retrieve Results of Retain Processing](../topics/5802_retrieveResultsRetainProcessing#)**\
  You can retrieve the results of Vindicia Retain processing as a result of the previous day's submission of failed Transactions to determine which Transactions were recovered. Subscriptions for recovered transactions can be saved and customer access restored, extending the subscription lifetime. To support this functionality, you must use the Retain APIs.
