Single-Call Partial Authorization for RocketGate
Vindicia Retain can now complete a Partial Authorization capture on RocketGate in a single processor call. Previously this flow issued two calls — an authorization-only request followed by a separate capture — which prevented merchants whose downstream entitlement or fulfillment systems expect one settlement call per transaction from using Partial Authorization on RocketGate. Those merchants can now recover partial amounts on RocketGate without changing their downstream integration. Existing Partial Authorization behavior is otherwise unchanged: this release changes how many processor calls complete the capture, not how an authorized amount is evaluated against a merchant’s configured threshold or decision rules. Thepartial_auth and partial_auth_amount transaction fields continue to be populated whenever a capture settles below the requested amount. Note: single-call mode is configured per merchant and division and is off by default, so merchants should coordinate with Vindicia Client Services to enable and validate it.
