# Welcome to Vindicia Retain REST API Reference Guide

Vindicia Retain is a SaaS-based customer retention solution designed to help businesses recover involuntary churn and lost revenue. Vindicia Retain focuses on your existing customer base, providing value by recovering failed payments and maintaining your relationship with your customer.

Vindicia Retain APIs follow Representational State Transfer (REST) and is a public API that uses HTTP protocols. Vindicia created this API definition for technical readers implementing the API.

**Note:** For ease of reference, this guide presents objects, their attributes, and operations alphabetically. Variable parameters for the methods are also presented in alphabetical order.

Vindicia Retain REST API and general Retain product are evolving, with new functionality and capabilities. In most cases, newly introduced functions will be backwards compatible, meaning the integrated API will continue to function without modification.
